Spacecraft: Blender Plugin !

I had the pleasure to be the lead environment artist on Spacecraft at Shiro Games!
As we were going through preprod I realized lots of the things we were doing when modeling could be scripted to be done by pressing a single button. Here are some of the scripts I made in python for blender to ease up the spacecraft 3D team modeling workflow!

This tools takes a 2D shape, creates a strip of its contour and UV it on a trim sheet to fake a crease.

This tool takes a whole 3D geometry with slash booleans and replace it with a simplified model where every creasde was replaced with a strip correctly uved on a trim sheet. This is usefull to make LODs.

This tool automatically creates LOD by removing the bevels and adding decimate modifier with different levels. It also corrects normals.

This macro increases or decreases the resolution of cylindrical shapes. Pretty handy to make LODs or simplify a topology.

This macro creates weighted bevel or simple 1-edge bevels by a single click, to automate something we do a lot.
